A big hello to Con O’Connor, a loyal reader of millstreet.ie from London, Ontario, Canada. Con was born in Millstreet. His parents were James O’Connor and Mary O’Sullivan. He was related to Joan and Con Duggan and still has cousins there in Balydaly and on the Millstreet road. Hi Hasan
Believe it or not I remember your visit to Millstreet when you were a small boy . I was possibly 10 years old than you.You visited Joan Duggan Minor Row with you mom Joan and dad Jim .Your Uncle Patrick (Chelsea fan) was a frequent summer visitor to Millstreet and his name still evokes great memories from those you knew him -Patrick always enjoyed Millstreet and was well known and liked .
Your grandfather Dan was a wealth of knowledge and despite living in London he was always interested in Millstreet and was regularly in contact with his brother Mossy and sister Joan .I met Dan regularly when he visited Millstreet and he knew more about Millstreet and Cork GAA than anyone I knew. The Duggans of Minor Row were good people and good neighbour s to my family ( the Pete Paul’s) – you should be proud of your Millstreet connections.
