Four Generations at Eurovision Wall in Minor Row, Millstreet on 24th May 2012 Recalling Millstreet’s Historic 1993 Eurovision Song Contest
Matthew Murphy’s Eurovision Wall in Minor Row has been one of Millstreet’s most photographed features. It has lasted so very well over the past 19 years and now with the new very colourful and attractive panels put in place its future is further guaranteed. The flags are arranged in random order with Ireland as the first flag. Sincere congratulations to All who have ensured the continuation of such an important feature of Millstreet’s history. Here we share some further images taken in Minor Row this evening. (S.R.)

Thanks a million Martha. The location is truly a very real landmark in Millstreet Town and so admired by countless visitors. It was so uplifting to have recorded four generations of the Murphy Family present for the recent further upgrading of the important feature. Thank you also, Shane, for your very encouraging comment.
In Memory of a true Gentleman, Teacher supreme and wonderfully community spirited Millstreet man – the late Matthew Murphy had such a superb knowledge and insight into the history of Millstreet. He was also a splendid Ambassador abroad when he taught overseas. It is uplifting to realise that we recorded Matthew at his famous 1993 Eurovision Wall in 2012 at Minor Row, Millstreet bringing together a splendid four generations. During the second EJC (European Juggling Convention in Millstreet) during a town tour where some 100 people participated from all parts of Europe while explaining about the Eurovision Wall we were so thrilled that Geraldine called out Matthew to meet with us all. He received such a richly deserved huge applause from All who felt so privileged to be meeting with the creator of this unique magnificent Eurovision feature. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
