Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1131 from Millstreet .
Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this Lovely warm and calm Tuesday morning.
Our events at the weekend were made all the more enjoyable by the beautiful warm sunny weather. Banteer Gymkhana was held at the Green Glens on Saturday and drew horse enthusiasts from all corners of the Country.
On Sunday we had a double bill with the Cork/Kerry branch holding their horse event again at the Green Glens, coupled with the annual September Fair in the town. The Fair drew a marked increase in the number of trade stands and there was a real carnival atmosphere with people milling around in bright summer clothes and talking plenty of time to chat in the lovely sunshine. There was everything from puppies to ducks and chickens to be seen. While the many horses, donkeys and ponies were confined to the Fair Field safely away from the milling crowds.
As soon as the Fair was over, the County Council cleaning lorry was out and in no time at all our streets were as clean and as neat as a pin. Many thanks to those did the work.
A fond Cead Mile Failte to all those who are visiting us at the moment. Either home to visit family ,or passing through on holiday. It is great to know that they can keep in touch with us now on the Web. I meet so many people who have great praise for those who update it every day. So take a bow, all who are involved.
