  4. Haha 🙂 I think there were mass abductions in Ireland. Records are scarce. I don’t have much sibling information. It’s possible that Johanna Healy is a sister to my GGgrandfather John Healy. He was born 1832 around Millstreet, County Cork. But, I can’t find many records concerning him. I believe his father was Jeremiah Healy b. around 1803 probably somewhere around Keale/Millstreet. d. 1866. I know we have Sullivans, I guess someone dropped the “O” somewhere down the line. Maybe if you look around Millstreet, Cork, you’ll find something.

  5. We have a DNA match on the X gene, going way back. Healy is one of my family names through my maternal line. My g-grandmother was “Catherine” Mary Healy, b. circa 1845 in Castleisland, Kerry. Her father was Patrick Pearce Healy who married Ellen Kennedy.

      1. My mum’s Gedmatch matches up with you and a few of your testing kits. A425686 – Margaret Morris.
Mum’s grandmother was “Catherine” Mary Healy, b. 1846, Castleisland, Kerry. Daughter of Patrick Healy and Ellen Kennedy.

    1. You also match my mom. That makes you on the side of the family with the surnames Healy, Webb, Hinchin, Ahern, Buckley, Dineen, McCarthers.

You match her on the X gene and also the regular one-to-one. Her GEDmatch number is A241977 Peggy Healy Hatfield.
I hope we can find the connection! 🙂 If you search for Michelle Clements on Ancestry, my tree will be listed on the side as “Miki Clements” It’s a public tree. Do let me know if you find anyone familiar. Thanks! Do you have an Ancestry tree?

  6. Perhaps if you look on group called North Cork DNA MatchFinder on Facebook, it seems very good at finding connections, I believe you register your codes and I think after it gets updated the next day your matches that are in the group are listed. Worth a try.

    1. Thank you Mary. 🙂 I am on that page under Miki Hatfield Clements. It’s true. Very good for finding matches.

  7. I’m a bit late to the party here – but, I’m sure my mysterious Healy connection lie# within this thread. My 3x great grandfather Daniel Healy was born in County Cork in 1800. I think he married a Peg Crowley and my 2x great grandmother Bridget Healy was born in Gortnatubbrid, Ballyvourney in 1820. Ring any bells for anyone?
