Sincere Sympathy to All his Family and Friends
May Connie Rest In Peace
Privileged to have been born the same year (1951) as the wonderfully popular Connie Hartnett we were all in the same Class in Primary School – John & Mary Coleman, Tommy Radley and many other locals – where Connie was so very gifted in sport and creativity but above all was an absolute gentleman, ever friendly and supremely supportive. Connie has enriched our lives in many ways not least in his pivotal role in the 1973 All-Ireland Football Final when Cork were victorious with a superb Team which also included three other hugely talented local Players – Humphrey Kelleher, John Coleman and Denis Long. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
I was privileged to have known Connie during the seventies in the cattle business and always considered him to be avery good friend and a true gentleman, always regretted not keeping contact, condolences to his family may he rest in peace.Martin Coady.Tullow Co.Carlow.
