My deepest condolences to the family RIP Matt
In the shadows of Mushera his life’s journey began
And there from a boy he grew into a man
Into his eight decade of him one can say
That about him he did have a likeable way
He married Eansie Kelleher a beautiful woman
The mother of his children and to him a devoted wife
As a young man tall and handsome his hair was light brown
Matt Twomey ended his days in Duhallow’s Millstreet Town
He spun a good yarn or he told a good joke
As he puffed on his pipe and blew out some smoke
He did not seem the sort on a problem who would brood
He always seemed calm and in a relaxed mood
One who made many friends in his lifetime
A musician and entertainer in his life’s prime
Behind the wheel of a car he was one without fear
Of his many hot rod wins some great stories to hear
A business man and entertainer and a sportsman as well
Of his colourful life many stories to tell
In his lifetime one who who did make many a friend
And sadly his journey has come to an end.
