Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my report. First of all I want to apologise for my absence last week. I was among the many victims of the latest bout of flu and chest infection and was left lying low for the week. But since I feel better now, I’m a living proof that it’s not a killer desease, and it’s curable.
In the past week there has been a flurry of activities which I had to refrain from. Sadly I missed the wonderful Christmas Concert given by the Duhallow Choral Society in our Church in aid of our local hospital and there were lots more. But the drive is still on to make the world a better place for more people at Christmas time. No words of mine can do justice to the amount of effort that is put in by kind people at this time of year. And their work goes on right up to the last minute on Christmas Eve.
All around the parish national Schools have been staging their annual Christmas Plays ,with little children pouring their hearts into the greatest story ever told.
In the church the Christmas Crib is being put in place and Church services laid on to enable us all to prepare our hearts and our minds for the great Religious Festival, that is Christmas.
T-night Tuesday December 19th we will have the annual Penitential Services in our Parish Church when visiting priests will be available to hear confessions, and the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from 7.30 to 8.30 .
The usual Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be held on today Tuesday from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm, please take note will not resume until Tuesday January 16th.
Our Christmas Mass times are .
Millstreet Christmas Eve, 10.00pm Christmas Morning 8.30 & 11.30.
Cullen Christmas Eve 7.30 & Christmas Morning 10.15 am.
Ballydaly Christmas Morning 9am.
Our Annual Parish Capital Fund Collection will take place at all Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There will be no Mass or Exposition in Cullen on Thursday and it will recommence on Thursday January 18th 2018.
Here are the results of this weeks Lotto Draw which was held at Tarrants Bar on Sunday night Numbers drawn were 7,8,21.24 ,and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Fr. Following Sunday nights draw the chairman thanked the public for their continued support of the local lotto which is doing so much good for our community , and wished them all a very Happy Christmas.

The Aubane Social Club are having a Children’s Singing Session this Friday night at 7.
And in case we overdo it over the Christmas look out for Marie’s slimming World which starts in Killarney on Wednesday January 3rd.
Tickets for the Women’s Little Christmas Party are on sale at the Wallis Arms Hotel. At €25 each and would be a lovely Christmas gift. It will be held on January 6th .Music by the ever popular Kelt.
