An Australian Film Crew are making a documentary on the history of the Eurovision Song Contest and as we were one of the hosts, they will be coming to Millstreet this week to do some footage. Niamh Kavanagh will also be here and we hope that they will have both a successful and enjoyable stay.

Living Scenes, is back at the Community School, it’s the project which involves mature people joining Transition Year Students for a few hours on Thursday afternoons, to engage in creative writing, music and some crafts, with the intention of breaking down the barriers that have grown between the ages in recent years. The founder of Living Scenes, Mary Surlis of UCG will attend the first meeting which is on this Thursday at 1.30. Both men and women welcome.

Our Parent/Toddler Group resumed to-day and will continue every Tuesday, starting at 10am at the GAA Hall.
The weekly set-dancing will resume in Aubane on Monday September 20th starting at 9.30.

The Millstreet Juveniles Annual Perpetual Trophies will take place on Sunday in Millstreet Town Park commencing at 12.30pm.
On parade in various competitions are U8, U10 and U12 football and hurling teams who will play each other for the Tommy O’Conner, Alan O’Conner and Connie Kelleher Memorial trophies.
On this Thursday evening, Millstreet play Knocknagree in the Duhallow Junior B Football Championship in Knocknagree at 7pm.
And the St. John’s Club were delighted with their win over Cullen on their first outing, in Millsreet at the weekend.in a score of 1.18 to 8 .
