Mr John Kevin O’Doherty of Loundsley Green has died peacefully at home aged 92. He was born in Millstreet, Co Cork, Ireland and had been a resident of Chesterfield for over fifty years. He had worked for the Post Office (AGD) until retirement in the 1980’s. Kevin was a very keen golfer. He had been a member of Stanedge and Tapton golf clubs and was a member of Walton Golf Club for over 30 years until 2010. He enjoyed socialising with family and friends and had been a long-time member of Chesterfield Miners Welfare Club.He leaves a daughter Maureen and sons Robert and Richard, son in law Chris and daughters in law Jane and Julie, grandchildren Kevin, Michael, Megan, Liam, Ella and Amy and great grandchildren Jacob, Joshua and Bella.The funeral service is due to take place at the Church of the Annunciation, Spencer Street, Chesterfield on Tuesday 16th December at 2.45p.m. followed by cremation.Family flowers only, donations to Ashgate Hospice.Funeral directors; B.
