My dear friends
How I long for the time when we will be able to gather for Mass and sacramental occasions. It has been a long & difficult time for many, and we pray God that we will soon be coming to more normal times.
We have no information yet as to when church can be available for group public worship as we are bound by the decisions of government. We cannot put dates on First Communion & Confirmations. As soon as we get information, we will be in touch to make these times the special spiritual occasions they are meant to be.
Thanks for your loyalty and generosity in continuing to contribute to church funds, priests’ dues and Trócaire. As soon as it is allowed, we will distribute envelopes in the usual way. Some have chosen to drop in their envelopes to the presbytery putting their names, addresses & number on an ordinary envelope. Again, my sincere thanks.
It is great to see children back in school and so happy and the care and attention lavished on them by their teachers.
God bless everybody & hope we will be able to see each other soon in church.

COVID-19 Support Line for Older People
ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am – 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.
How to Hear His Voice
Our silence demands of us constant self-denial and plunges us into the deep silence of God where aloneness with God becomes a reality. The Word of God is speechless today. In the Eucharist, his silence is the highest and the truest praise of the Father. We need silence to be alone with God, to speak to him, to listen to him, to ponder his words deep in our hearts. In silence we are filled with the energy of God himself that makes us do all things with joy.
The fruit of silence is prayer,
the fruit of prayer is faith,
the fruit of faith is love,
and the fruit of love is service.
To be only all for Jesus we need a deep life of prayer.
How do we learn to pray? By praying.
Let us adore Jesus in the Eucharistic silence. Souls of prayer are souls of great silence. We must endeavour to live alone with Jesus in the sanctuary of our inmost heart. In reality there is only one substantial prayer, Christ himself. One voice which unites in itself all the voices raised in prayer.
