On tonight’s Show at 10pm we repeat (at the request of many Listeners) a brief interview with three ladies recorded in Banteer 1983 in the presence also of Seán Buckley where we hear about their meeting with Ansty and the Tailor of Gougane Barra, an early Kilcorney Feis and the challenges of the Troubles of the 1920s in Ireland. And we feature the splendid recording of Niamh Kavanagh with the Students and Band of Millstreet Community School which presently may be viewed on YouTube…with their version of “I’m still standing” and “Mustang Sally”. We also listen to accordion waltzes by Gary Blair. And we share a most enjoyable comic sketch by the great Brendan Grace entitled the “Farming Independent Programme” in which Brendan mimics the voices of three people! We hear the operatic voice of Maureen O’Hara. For our pictorial feature we share images of nature and of 1993. And we have our Musings and Updates. And there’s more … much more!!
