Thursday’s Examiner had a piece on up and coming local dog who looks like making a bit of name for himself:
“Crossfield Bruce, from the prolific Millstreet kennels of Brendan O’Shea (Cockhill), can land heat three of the Seftec NMCI Offshore A4 525 Stakes at Curraheen Park tonight. The selection is an improving sort, boasting a record of two wins from four starts, and can continue on an upward curve. Crossfield Bruce was soon at the head of affairs when scoring in 29.25 at the start of the month …”
Indeed he did land the 525 heat tonight in a time of 29.33, two lengths ahead of his nearest rival. He got a clean break from trap #6, led all the way, and the line came too soon for his challengers. See the video of the race below:

Video above is of his third time out, and his first win, hard fought, but he stayed very well.
