St. John’s GAA hosted an enjoyable end of season get together in the Wallis Arms Hotel Friday night last, where all concerned viewed 2011 as a year of progress that came close to landing silverware. Players, team management and club officers took time out to enjoy a social evening and look ahead optimistcally to a new season. Awards for the year went to:
- Players player of the year, Shane Kelleher
- Most improved player, Liam Dennehy
- Most dedicated player, Declan Kelleher
- Club person of the year, Michael O’Riordan
