Superb “Bóthar” Event at Mary & John Buckley’s Home in Rathcoole
A wonderfully welcoming Afternoon Tea event was held this evening at the home of John & Mary Buckley on the very picturesque Laught Road, Rathcoole. Bringing the three beautiful goats from Bóthar were David together with Educational Director, Jeremy Meehan accompanied by his two sons and friends. It was a superb occasion for such a splendidly worthy cause. Pictured here are just some of the many people who called for tea, scones and cakes served by Mary in her beautiful “Nevin Maguire” Bóthar apron (!) and her team of great helpers. Hello Seán – on behalf of Davy Fenton and myself and all in Bóthar, a million thanks to Mary and family for a really lovely occasion! We were delighted to be able to bring our three of our “Celebrity Goats”, Cuddles, Clodagh and Sparkles (!) to meet the great crowd of friends and neighbours. The baking was also five star, and we took copious samples, just to be sure!
Bóthar is fortunate to have the help and support of so many kind and generous people and we know that this event will bring a happier future to one or more families overseas. Thanks also to your good self for coming along and bringing your photographic expertise and further publicity to the gathering! Gura fada buan sibh uile – Jeremy.
