“Great Irish Journeys” Documentary on RTÉ 1 Television at 6.30 This Sunday Evening
The O’Sullivan Beara Walk documentary – part of which was filmed in Millstreet in March is scheduled to be broadcast on RTÉ1 television this evening at 6.30. We share images of the filming here which included (in white cloak) the renowned actor, Aidan Dooley whose one-man Show on Tom Crean was a universal hit in many theatres worldwide. All that sequence with Aidan was filmed in artificial snow conditions! Eily Buckley, Michael O’Sullivan and I participated in the documentary but we’re not sure how much of the Millstreet filming will be included in the completed edited programme. Will this documentary be shared with those of us in the states somehow? Would love to see it.
As indicated in my email to you, Anne – Unless there has been a change RTÉ television coverage does not appear to be available beyond Ireland. The same applies to television channels which are based in England with such programmes not being available outside Britain. Hopefully you will at some point get to see the splendid Documentary which was transmitted this Sunday evening.
