Fondest Greetings Dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this beautiful warm sunny Tuesday morning.
The Two-day Walking Festival was a wonderful success on Saturday and
Sunday last. The organisers left no stone unturned to make it an enjoyable
event for all those taking part. Registration took place at the Wallis Arms
Hotel on Saturday,with, over 60 walkers taking on the long trek to
Ballyvourney and lots of others engaging shorter routes.
On Sunday the walks were centred at the lovely Country Park, again over
routes to suit all needs. Well done to all involved.
And Still with walking. The Community Council has planned a fundraising
Walk to be held on Easter Monday April 21st, in aid of the Astro Turf Fund.
Registration at Kilmeedy Castle at 11. It’s a five mile circle, taking in
Kilmeedy, Curacahil, Adrivale. Curragh, Ballinatona with breathtaking
scenery along the way. and finishing at Kilmeedy Castle for light
refreshments.
There is some parking by the Castle, but patrons are asked to double up in
cars as much as possible to conserve space.

A very Successful three-day pony show was held at the Green Glens over the
weekend and we’ll have more of the same this coming weekend from April
17th to 20th inclusive.
The annual Good Friday Table Quiz will be held at Aubane social Centre
starting at 8.30.
Our Millstreet Monument Committee will hold their annual Commeration at the
monument in the Town Square on this Easter Sunday at 12.30.
The Oration will be given by local Historian Jack Lane.
Our lovely Country Park is all geared up for the Easter Weekend. All
centred around eggs and egg races. Duck races and mystery trails for
children of all ages Dont take it from me. Look up their web or ring

And there’s a Vintage Club Run on Easter Sunday,
Starting from the Town square at 11.30.
Don’t forget the Unveiling of the Memorial to King Mahon in Mushera
/Kilcorney on this Saturday April 19th at 2.
It will be signposted on the Butter Road.
And the Mighty Monster Mac is returning. And will be held on Saturday April 26th.
A lovely Sheepdog was found straying at Lackadota and can be claimed at
our Veterinary Office 029 70086.
John J Herlihy has moved his weekly dances to the Edel Quinn Hall in
Kanturk. Starting this week April 17th with music by Mick Duggan Sound plus
Ml Collins Band and our own Michael Dennehy of C103.
Music at the pub in Carriginma will be on Easter Sunday Night and provided
by the Popular Celt.
On tomorrow Wednesday at our local Library, Breda says they’ll have
Easter themed crafts & Storytelling for Children from 11 to 12noon.
Admission free .
Croi na Gaeilge is holding a Junior Certificate Honours one day course on
Saturday April 26th .contact number 085 16 11 573.
Bookings are now being taken for the Irish Heart Foundation Certified
Course both for adults and infant CPR, and also in the use of

This is Holy Week and all church services are displayed on the back of
the ChurchChurch.
On tomorrow Wednesday 16th Easter Penitential Rite Service will be held in
Millstreet Church from 7.30 to 8.30. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed
for that hour ,Visiting Priests will attend and will be available for
Confessions.
And as we enter into the Spirit of the Holy Season of Easter ,please take

On Holy Thursday Mass of the Last Supper is in Cullen at 6.30 and in
Millstreet at 8pm.
Good Friday Devotions are in Cullen at 6.30 and in Millstreet at 3pm.
Holy Saturday Polish Mass and Food Blessing 2pm .
And Easter Vigil Mass in Millstreet 9pm.
Confessions after devotions in Cullen & Millstreet on Holy Thursday And
Good Friday and on Holy Saturday in Millstreet from 12.30 to 1.

Our Weekly Lotto Draw was held at the Mal Passo Bar on Sunday night numbers
drawn were 1. 11 ,19. 23 and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Teresa
Lawlor Dooneen the Seller Jerry Lehane ,he got €50 sellers prize.
Jackpot for next Week €9,600 the Draw at McCarthys Bar on Monday night.
