At the AGM of LTV2 which was held during the week at the Wallis Arms Hotel ,the existing committee was re-elected in block. They are Chairman, Bernard Crowley,   Secretary, Mary Ankatel,

Treasurer, Wm. FitzGerald.   PRO. John F Kelleher. The Chairman reported on another very successful season with   the program content getting more popular all the time. He commended the crew for their dedication and hard work, with everybody working on a voluntary basis. He went on to say that, programs, in part anyway, can now be seen  worldwide on You-tube. And even though the station is now closed for the Summer, the task of fundraising will have to start, to replenish our funds before we return in the Fall.

Our litter problem is getting no better. On Anti-Litter  Week volunteers of ever creed and colour came out and cleaned up the whole area, now alas our roadsides are worse than ever. On some roads the Co. Council cleaned all the margins of grass and mud, great in one way but now all the rubbish thrown out of cars is clearly visible and is ruining the fine work done by the Council. Could we once again ask people to please refrain from this dreadful habit.

Please be reminded that our fine recycling centre takes bags of rubbish for landfill now also for a nominal fee.
