Visiting Walkers Hugely Impressed by Millstreet Walking Festival 2011

Returning from the Saturday walk to the Wallis Arms Hotel.   All Walkers were required to register again at the Hotel to indicate that they had safely returned.

Some Two Hundred Energetic People Registered for the First Ever Millstreet Walking Festival This Morning

Splendidly Successful Fashion Show at Millstreet Community School

A very successful Fashion Show was held at Millstreet Community School on Thursday, 7th April 2011. Within the next few days we shall share a selection of images we captured at the wonderfully enjoyable event where three very worthy organisations will benefit from the funds collected. The Fashion Show event is held once in every two years.

“Clara Toys” Doll Comes Home!

Bob Emprimo from America presents the "Clara Toys" Doll to Seán Radley for Millstreet Museum at "Nibbles Food Emporium", West End, Millstreet on Friday, 1st April 2011.

At "The Star Bar", Rathmore on Friday, 1st April 2011 the presentation of a cheque for €14,000.00 - the proceeds of this year's "Old King Cole" Panto by Rathmore's Marian Players - to Kerry Parents & Friends took place. Young People Inspire at Cullen National Spring Clean 2011

Pupils of Cullen N.S. with Teachers, Parents and Friends participating in the National Spring Clean in Cullen on Friday, 1st April 2011 - setting a truly inspiring example of civic pride in our own community.

Sacrament of Confirmation Administered in Millstreet on Tuesday

Liam Coffey & Tim O'Shea cut the special Millstreet Pipe Band 60th Anniversary Cake at the hugely successful Function held at the Dromhall Hotel, Killarney on Saturday, 26th March 2011. Tim and Liam are the two longest serving members of the renowned Band. Lots more pictures to follow later.

It’s that time of year again Spring is well and truly in the air, life has returned to the countryside, and we are fast approaching our new season here at Millstreet Country Park.

Millstreet Country Park will re-open for its 2011 season on Sunday 3rd April and for Mothers Day! To celebrate the beginning of our new season and Mothers everywhere Millstreet Country Park will host an Open Day and everyone from the community and surrounding areas are welcome and encouraged to visit!

A special Mothers Day Menu will be available from our Cafe / Restaurant; there will be Musical Entertainment in both the Visitor Centre and the Band Stand!  Guided Safari Tours of the Estate will be available throughout the day also.
Advanced Booking is Advised For Mothers Day Lunch to avoid disappointment and ensure seating at your preferred time!

So Bring your Mum! Bring a Friend! Tell a Friend! Everyone is welcome and there is NO ADMISSION FEE for this day! So try somewhere different for that Sunday Drive or for that Special Mothers Day Lunch!

Contract Signed for St. Patrick’s Church Painting Project

On Wednesday, 23rd March 2011 at Millstreet's Parish Centre the contract for the forthcoming Painting of St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet was officially signed. Carriganima St. Patrick’s Parade on this Sunday

Participants at St. Patrick's Day Parade in Millstreet on 17th March. Tomorrow, Sunday 20th March 2011 sees the beginning of the Carriganima Parade from 1.30 p.m. with our good Friends in this picture also joining in that special Parade organised mainly by Seán Murphy and Matthew Neville. Millstreet Pipe Band’s 60th St. Patrick’s Day Parade – What a Record!

What a truly magnificent record for Millstreet Pipe Band which today led the Millstreet St. Patrick's Day Parade for the amazing 60th time! Sincere congratulations from everyone with special mention to Tim O'Shea and Liam Coffey who have been with the renowned Band all through those six decades!
