Air Ambulance Ireland Fundraiser

The organisers of the second annual Rathmore food fair held on Sunday last in Teach Iosagain May 20th  wish to thank everybody who supported it in any way. The Kerry Rose Ann Maire Hayes attended, Chef Mark Doe had a cooking demonstration. We also wish to thank Kilcummin Comhaitas, Sliabh Luachra Comhaitas, Biddy group, and we wish to thank Management of Teach Iosagain  for their help. The ticket draw was postponed due to the small amount of tickets sold. It will be held  on Saturday June 23rd at Teach Iosagain, Rathmore Co. Kerry.  At 8.30pm. Permit Extended by Garda Siochana – tickets bought will be entered into a special draw with a chance of winning a pair of All Ireland football final stand tickets 2012 with accommodation in Bewley’s Hotel Ballsbridge on the Saturday night of the All-Ireland, with evening meal and return rail tickets or Hospitality suite tickets for Killarney Races Ladies Day on July 19th 2012, or tickets to Michael Flatley’s Lord of Dance at INEC in July, or tickets to Cork racecourse Mallow. Richard Scriven is a PhD student in UCC looking at pilgrimage in Ireland. He is seeking volunteers who would be willing to talk to him about The City, the rounds and traditions associated with it. “Hot Country” Awards on Sky 201 – Monday at 8.00 p.m..

Pictured at the very successful Startrax Studio Concert (near Knocknagree) on Sunday, 13th May - the renowned Star, John McNicholl with Matthew Neville and Seán Murphy. The very popular Country and Western singer, John, was one of the many highly significant recipients of Awards in Monasterevin recently which will feature on "Hot Country" Monday at 8.00 p.m. on Sky 201. William and his dedicated CMS team of DJs will be broadcasting live on www.corkmusicstation.com online radio from 2.00 - 6.00 p.m. from Mike Fitzgerald's excellent Open Air Concert (which is also possible to stage indoors) on the Knocknagree Road setting on Sunday, 13th May 2012. We shall have lots more pics of Derek Burke's 21st Birthday later in the week when we shall feature his many special guests including his very own "Crystal Swing", Louise Morrissey and Richie Kavanagh. Musheramore Cross Reached on Recent Walking Festival

Very Successful Vintage Run Today followed by Draw

Some of the many participants in today's very successful Vintage Run pictured at the Square in advance of setting off on the enjoyable event. When the Tractors, Cars and Bikes returned to the Wallis Arms Hotel at 4 p.m. a very fine meal followed and then it was time for the official Draw - the results of which will soon be shared. Jim Fitzgerald of Kanturk has over 400 magnificent pics. of today's event on his Facebook which we shall later share. Great credit is due to the excellent organisers of today's very successful event. I have fought with my weight for years, this year I am winning the battle with the help of jogging and running. I started at 18st 8.5lbs on the 1st of January. I decided this was going to be my year and started jogging and eating healthy from the 1st January. Today I am 15st 9lbs. I am only 1/3 of the way of my journey but I am totally committed and motivated. I have signed up for the Dublin run in april, limerick in May and the half marathon in cork in June. I am currently jogging 10k every morning. I love jogging and hate missing. I have motivated 2 other girls to join me at 6.30 every morning, and …
