Barndance at the Briery Gap
“Barndance” Presented by local group the Sullane Players. This play takes place in the 27th, 28th & 29th of March at 8.00pm. A must see comedy production. “The old ways are best” is a precept which is challenged by this play, on many levels. It looks at family relationships and also the theme of emigration in Ireland. Tickets are €12.00/Concession €10.00.
In addition, Briery Gap Youth Theatre are performing “Rhythm of the night”. The young stars are carrying out great work themselves both on stage and on the production side of things. It takes place on Friday 21st and Saturday the 22nd of March at 8.00pm. Tickets are €10.00/students €8.00.
The Maiden Aunt
Ahakeera Drama Group present “The Maiden Aunt”. Gertie, has been in hospital for some time but is now coming to stay with her niece, Mary, who attempts to get her hands on Gertie’s money. With many twists and turns this is a must see, hilarious play! This event takes places on Friday 14th of March at 8.00pm at the Briery Gap Theatre in Macroom.

The Briery Gap – Christmas Pantomime 2013
A feast of hilarious laughter, wonderful singing, spectacular costumes and amazing sets are on the menu for this year’s favourite fairy story, “The Babes in the Wood.” Briery Gap is now in its 14th year of producing one of the best Panto’s in the country, with a cast of over 100 this year’s production promises to be even bigger and better than before – oh no it isn’t – oh yes it is!

Superb “Funny Money” Drama Presentation at Millstreet Community School
“Funny Money” Drama Production by Enthusiastic MCS Students Next Week
Millstreet Community School Transition Year drama group presents “Funny Money” by Ray Cooney. This hilarious comedy is guaranteed to beat the recessionary blues. Directors Jennifer O’Donoghue and Margaret Buckley have put in long hours with the cast and all the signs are that it wil be a great night’s entertainment. It will take place in the school on Tues. 22nd, Wed. 23rd and Thurs. 24th January at 8pm. Tickets are available from the school (029 70087) or at the door on the nights.
