JD Kelleher in ‘The Country Girls’

From the Cork Independent: It’s a sort of homecoming for Millstreet native JD Kelleher. He can be currently seen in Red Kettle’s production of Edna O’ Brien’s ‘The Country Girls’, which is playing at Cork Opera House until this Saturday (June 16th). Best of Luck to the Novelty Group

Best of luck to the Millstreet GAA Novelty Act who will compete in the All Ireland Finals of Scór Sinsir in the INEC Killarney at 3pm tomorrow (Saturday). They are the only representatives from Cork an the finals and deserve all the support they can get.

There should be some limited tickets on the door if anyone else would like to go!

Result: Unfortunately the Millstreet GAA Novelty Act didn’t win the All Ireland last Saturday in Killarney, losing out to the Tyrone Group at the last, but having the crowd in stitches during their act. Fair play to them for the enjoyment they gave along the way since a cold night in January in Kanturk Golf Club (Duhallow), Coachford (county semi’s), Ovens (county final), Tallow (Munster semi), Templemore (Munsters), and finally back down to Killarney.
