Eansie Twomey, The Bridge, Millstreet – Acknowledgement

Eansie Twomey, The Bridge, Millstreet
who died 13th August 2023
Acknowledgement

As we lovingly remember Eansie, we her family, wish to express our deep gratitude for the kindness and support shown to us on our sad loss of Eansie, our adored mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

They say it takes a community to raise a child, but it also takes a community to support and enhance the lives of our older community members. We especially remember and thank those who stopped to chat with Eansie and admire her beloved companion, Millie.

Friendship and community were of huge importance to Eansie. We wish to thank her long standing friends for a lifetime of friendship and the members of Millstreet Active Retirement Association, Reach Out Cancer Support Group and the Altar Society who contributed so much to Eansie’s quality of life and sense of belonging and allowed her to contribute to her community well into her 80’s.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who cared for Eansie, especially Dr Christine, Dr Liam and the team at Millstreet Medical Centre and Tom and staff at Mulcahy’s Pharmacy for their care and support to Eansie over the years. We also thank the paramedics and staff at CUH for their compassion and the dedicated home carers who provided care and comfort to Eansie.

We appreciate and thank all those who spent time with us, our friends and neighbours who visited us at home and brought food, those who attended Eansie’s rosary, removal and funeral, offered condolences, phone calls, mass cards, perpetual enrolments, floral tributes, letters, messages on RIP.ie, and watched the live stream of her funeral mass. A special word of thanks to Eansie’s friends and neighbours who stood in the Guard of Honour and along
the street on her final journey to Drishane Cemetery.

We extend our sincere thanks to Canon John Fitzgerald for celebrating her funeral mass, Fr. Paddy O’Byrne who concelebrated remotely and Sharon Lane for her kind help and guidance, to Clara Manley (Eansie’s goddaughter) who led the rosary and Siobhan Forde for the beautiful music, Davy Tarrant and Cora O’Riordan of Tarrant’s Funeral Directors for their kindness and professionalism, and Evelyn of Garden of Eve and the staff of The Wallis Arms
Hotel for helping us celebrate Eansie’s life.

As we cannot thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
