Knit2gether Is a local group of beginners and experienced knitters who meet each Tuesday evening at 7pm in the Adult Learning Centre, Main st. Millstreet. Everyone is welcome including children if accompanied by an adult family member. (Come for the chat, the tea and sometimes the home baking as well as the knitting) We also crochet. The group will be starting up again for the autumn this Tuesday 6th September at 7pm.

Summer Camp for Children with Autism in Clondrohid
Clondrohid Community Recreational Facility in conjunction with Cork Sports Partnership presents ‘Kool Camp 4 Kool Kidz’. The camp will take place in the new Astro Pitch in Clondrohid on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd August 2011 from 10am to 1:30pm and will cater for children with Autism and a sibling.
The programme will consist of two sessions scheduled one from 10-11.30am for 5-8 year olds and a second session from 12-1.30pm for 9-12 year olds. The sessions will consist of multi-sports activities and games that will be run by a trained instructor facilitated in a relaxed, safe, secure and fun environment. Angelina Ballerina Ballet classes (3-6yrs) will start in Millstreet GAA Hall in September, on Fridays from 2.30-3.30pm.

The first ever Piping and Drumming Summer School will take place in Cullen from July 25th to 28th inclusive. The School is being supported by the Arts Council and Cork Arts Department. Instructors from the National Piping Centre of Scotland will be providing tuition for beginner, intermediate and advanced players during the course. Millstreet Celtic would like to invite new players to join their squad for the upcoming season in Division 1.
Training will commence this week and the season will begin in mid August.

Light brown shetland pony found wandering around in Laught since Saturday evening at approx. 7p.m. The pony is well used to people and still has bridle on so we are worried he/she escaped from somewhere. He/she is currently being minded in Laught by some concerned people!
