Michael Commins Music Concerts 2012 in Galway – Superb Success

Recording an interview with Michael Commins, coordinator of the highly prestigious Annual Music Concerts in Galway. Renowned Journalist and Broadcaster (Midwest Radio) Michael assembles the most amazing line-up of very famous Singers and Musicians including Dolores and Matt Keane, Big Tom McBride, Gene Stuart, Annmarie O’Riordan to mention but some – all performing in the magnificent setting of the Salthill Hotel, Galway – this year on 4th and 5th November – before capacity and enthusiastic audiences.    Cork Music Station with William Fitzgerald is broadcasting live from the Concerts and we’ve been recording lots of video for later transmission on LTV2 Millstreet with sequences also for “Hot Country ” on Sky Channel 191.  We shall be sharing more images of Sunday night’s Concert later.   (S.R.)

D.J. Pat Daly Presently on Cork Music Station until 2pm

New D.J. Pat Daly is presently broadcasting on Cork Music Station until 2pm playing  some of the very best of Irish and Country-and-Western Music.   Pat was one of the very popular artists performing in the recent launch of Cork Music Station.   We shall be featuring a pictorial presentation of that great occasion shortly.  Pat’s Show is being broadcast from Lanzarote!  (S.R.)

Cork Music Station Launch at Hazel Tree Inn – A Great Success

Hugely popular renowned singer Lisa McHugh is welcomed to the Hazel Tree Inn, Mallow by William Fitzgerald at yesterday evening’s superbly successful official launch of Cork Music Station.   Lisa was top of the bill amongst a galaxy of excellent Country-and-Western and Irish Stars who participated in the spectacular evening of great entertainment in aid of Cullen & District Special Needs Association as well as the Austin Long Fund for Moldova.   It was William and his son, John, who initially established the very popular online radio station.   We shall be sharing lots more pictures later and the full concert was also recorded by LTV2 Millstreet with Seán Murphy as principal cameraman.   Michael Commins from Midwest Radio was the brilliant MC for the mighty occasion.   (S.R.)

Meeting Henry Healy in Moneygall, Co. Offaly Today

Interviewing Henry Healy in Moneygall for LTV2 and Cork Music Station on Sunday 08/07/2012.   Pictured in front of the Ancestral Home of President Barack Obama during this weekend’s Moneygall American Festival, true Gentleman and Ambassador supreme, Henry (who is a cousin of President Obama) gave us a superb insight into the wonderfully welcoming Moneygall area which was visited by the American President on 23rd May 2011.    We shall feature lots more photos of our splendid visit today when I travelled with Ita and William Fitzgerald of Cullen to do a live CMS broadcast from the Music Aspect of the Festival.   Please tune into “Radio Treasures” on CMS on this Tuesday 8-10 pm to hear some of the highlights of our most memorable visit.   Many thanks to Ita for taking this picture.   (S.R.)

Startrax Concert to be Broadcast Live on Cork Music Station 2-6 p.m. Today

William and his dedicated CMS team of DJs will be broadcasting live on www.corkmusicstation.com online radio from 2.00 - 6.00 p.m. from Mike Fitzgerald's excellent Open Air Concert (which is also possible to stage indoors) on the Knocknagree Road setting on Sunday, 13th May 2012. “Hot Country” Award Ceremony to be Broadcast Live This Evening by Cork Music Station

What must be regarded as a true milestone for the newly established Cork Music Station (developed by William and John Fitzgerald, Cullen) – the highly prestigious Annual “Hot Country” Awards Ceremony (see poster uploaded on April 26 for full details) will be broadcast live from Monasterevin on this evening, Wednesday from 8.00 p.m. by Cork Music Station.   Very special thanks to Hugh O’Brien of Cork (with Kilcorney roots) who produces the ever popular  “Hot Country” weekly programme on Sky 201 – for according this honour to Cork Music Station.   Two of the Awards on the night will be presented by CMS’s William Fitzgerald.   A number of DJs from CMS will be in Monasterevin on the night and they will comment on proceedings as well as conduct a number of interviews with some of the galaxy of Country & Western Stars who will be attending this very significant annual event.   So we very much encourage you to tune into  www.corkmusicstation.com on this Wednesday night from 8.00 for this LIVE broadcast.   Happy listening!  (S.R.)
