Thanks to all who have contributed so far to our fundraiser!
€2,181.95 (excluding fees) has been raised to date on the gofundmepage.
Donations have also been given to band members which will be added to the final total in due course.
We are truly grateful for the generosity shown towards the Pipe Band to help defray the 36% deficit incurred with the purchase of new uniforms & equipment in 2021, as well as the lack of Church Gate Collections for two years due to Covid.
Our gofundmepage will be open for donations until the end of July.

Alternatively donations, large or small, may be given to Marie Twomey, Theresa Cleary, Gillian McCarthy or any Pipe Band Member. A final total for the fundraiser will then be published.

Millstreet Pipe Band

“Millstreet Pipe Band have set up a fundraiser via a gofundme page.
The band was formed in 1951 & it was their 70th Anniversary in 2021. 2021 was also a momentous year for the pipe band – They got new uniforms & band equipment. They received substantial funding for this endeavour from IRD Duhallow which was greatly appreciated. However this was 64% of the total cost so there was a shortfall between funding received & the total cost to the band. To help defray this 36% shortfall plus the lack of Church Gate Collections for two years due to Covid, they are asking the public for donations, large or small, to their gofundme page. Busy August for Millstreet Pipe Band

Millstreet Pipe Band were given the honour of leading the 60th Rose Parade at the Rose of Tralee on Saturday night. The band played at the first parade in 1959 & have continued that tradition down through the years.
The band were given a rousing reception as the parade passed the reviewing stages in Tralee & a special mention was given to current committee members Liam Coffey & Tim O’Shea who played at the first Rose Parade in 1959.
The Pipe Band then played at the annual Michael Collins commemoration in Beál na mBláth on Sunday where economist Jim Power gave the oration. Another longstanding event for the pipe band & they received a warm welcome as they played in glorious sunshine.
