Sonia Celebrates Millstreet Tidy Towns National Awards Success
We now share a selection of 80 further images outlining our car journey from Millstreet this morning to Dublin. We attempt to provide a background insight into the impressive annual event – we note RTÉ’s Mary Kennedy doing the “Nationwide” links, Michael Ryan as MC, Minister Phil Hogan and Supervalu Representatives on stage, the refreshments provided for all who travelled from the 26 counties, the excitement for the winners and the presence of lots of media. My sincere thanks to Millstreet Tidy Towns, to Mary Kelleher and to Derry Sheehan for affording us the opportunity to record and to share such a magnificent occasion. Every success in the future to our superbly dedicated Millstreet Tidy [read more …] “Sonia Celebrates Millstreet Tidy Towns National Awards Success”

Cork County Council Anti Litter Challenge 2012 – final results
Millstreet finished a creditable third in the top division of the Cork Anti Litter Challenge 2012. After a terrible first week score which left us in last position, Millstreet had the best cumulative score from the second and third weeks to climb into third position. Well done and a big thanks to everyone that bent their backs to pick up rubbish and make Millstreet a cleaner place to live in, and also those that made the effort to take their rubbish home with them!
