Millstreet Macra in National Finals

from Millstreet Macra:

Congratulations to the Millstreet Macra team who won the Muskerry heat of the Question Time and will now be going on to the National Finals in late February.

Also best off luck to the Millstreet Macra indoor soccer team for tomorrow (Sunday 17th Jan) as they will be competing in the National Finals of that competition. The team is: James Kelleher, Pat O’Sullivan, Sean Óg Murphy, Mark Neville, DJ Sheahan, John Fitzgerald, John O’Riordan, Michael Dennehy and Adrian O’Connor

Update 17/Jan: They made it out of the tough qualifying groups and into the quarter finals but unfortunately came up against the eventual winners, the Camross Macra Club (in Laois).

Snowmen and Igloos

LTV2 Crew were at the scene to record the evening

WEARY residents in Millstreet forgot about their lack of water for the past month on Sunday evening and community spirit took over as people put their artistic skills to the fore and built a giant igloo and snowman.

For the estimated 16 householders at Old Coach Avenue in Millstreet it was a welcome break from the strife of the past month, as some residents have not had a drop of water out of their taps, while others went to Tubrid Well ….

Spring Farm Machinery Show Reschudeled

The Spring Farm Machinery Show which was due to be held in the Green Glens last week has been rescheduled for 19th, 20 & 21of January (Tuesday to Thursday) according to the promoters.

Tractor and machinery dealerships will attend, with the organisers saying that the show will be an ideal opportunity for farmers and contractors to view the latest innovations in the agricultural and associated industries in one place.
