Death Notice: Betty Twomey (née Corcoran, Dooneen)
The death has occurred on Sunday, June 13, 2010 of Betty TWOMEY, (née Corcoran (Dooneen, Millstreet)) of Banteer, Cork. Reposing at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer this Tuesday evening from 6.30pm, followed by removal at 8pm to St Fursey’s Church, Banteer. Requiem Mass tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Fursey’s Cemetery.
Cork Rose Selection
The selection of the Cork Rose for this years Rose of Tralee took place last weekend. Joanie McAulliffe represented the Millstreet Country Park (where she is the Marketing Executive). Unfortunately she did not win on the night as that honour went to Laura Mitchell. Though it is great to see someone local involved.
