CULLEN and DISTRICT SPECIAL NEEDS ASSOCIATION
12^th Old Time Threshing and Vintage Afternoon Sunday July 25^th. 2010

For any outdoor event the weather makes all the difference, and this year the sun blazed down in Cullen for the hosting of the 12^th Old Time Threshing and Vintage Afternoon, we were blessed with brilliant summer sunshine that lifted the spirits of all who attended “the Threshing” as well as honouring our own patron Saint – Laitiarain. Incidentally it was also Macra’s “Know your neighbour Weekend”.

Renowned Cork footballer, Donncha O’Connor was at Millstreet Town Park this evening (29th July) to conduct a very comprehensive training session with Millstreet GAA Juvenile Club members – the Under-14s and the Under-16s. We were also introduced to the new addition to the local Juvenile Kit – the “Under Armour Skin” – clothing which keeps sportspeople cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. Many thanks to Michael for alerting us to this Town Park happening. (Seán)
