Last night RTE 1 aired a documentary “This Sporting Life – Tony Cascarino”. During it, there was a brief shot of Padraig O’Driscoll with the pipes in Italy. Padraig ODriscoll is playing the pipes, and it also shows Pat Barrett, Michael Lehane (originally from Millstreet) and John Minihan of Clonakilty. Midsummer Madness BBQ
Millstreet Tourism committee are holding a fund-raising night in the Wallis Arms on this Friday night the 6th August at 9pm. It consists of music provided by The Celts and DJ Nev., barbecue on the night by O’Leary Family butchers. There is €100 prize money for the best summer outfit on the night kindly sponsored by O Flynn Medical. Admission is only €10. All money raised on the night will go towards the cost of running the Millstreet Failte Festival which will be held in 2011.
