The Garda website has a page showing of all the areas being targeted by the new mobile speed cameras which go into effect from tonight. Unfortunately, it has been down due to the demand to see where the speed cameras will be located.
It appears that there will be none in the vicinity of Millstreet, but if you are travelling further afield, you’d be advised to slow down and drive with due care becuase they will be covering the Macroom to Cork, Rathmore to Killarney, and Banteer to Mallow roads
Of course the Garda will still have their speed traps as normal wherever they choose, so don’t be fooled into thinking that the above areas are the only places being checked …. but then again you won’t need to look at the above map if you normally stay within the rules of the road!
