After a good first outing last weekend, Mark Ellis has retained his place in the Cork Senior Hurling team to play Kilkenny next weekend in the National Hurling League, moving to wing-back as Ronan Curran comes back into the centre.

In other news, the Cork GAA Clubs’ Draw Greyhound Spectacular takes place on Thursday next, February 24th at Curraheen Park, with the chances of the Twomey Family from Millstreet riding on the dog running in Race 3 Trap No.2. They are guarranteed €250 and up to €1,000  if their dog wins on the night.

Finally, Eileen Murphy won Prize Bonds in February edition of the Cork GAA Draw.

Death Notice: Margaret Radley

The death has occurred of Margaret Radley, (neé Linehan), aged 100,  and a native of Ballinamona near Mitchelstown who was married to the late Denis Radley of Millstreet and has lived in Chessington, Surrey for many years. She is Aunt to local Millstreet people – Marie Carroll (nee Radley), Killarney; John, Tommy and Denis Radley, Dungarvan as well as Denis & Tadhg Murphy, Ballydaly.

No funeral arrangements at hand.
