We beat Dunbar 3-1 this morning to maintain our good run in the league. We dominated the first 15 mins of the game and forced a number of saves from the Dunbar keeper through shots from Tadhg Collins, Michael Murphy and Paul Dawson. In the 20th min we almost took the lead. The Dunbar keeper wandered outside his box to clear the ball which came towards Barry Lawlor inside his own half. Lawlor hit it first time on the volley and it looked to be going all the way only to bounce agonisingly over the bar and deny him what would have been a spectacular goal. Trish’s grandmother Julia O’Leary came from the townland of Leame, Gneeveguilla while Trish’s grandfather, Dan O’Connor, came from the townland of Mausraur, Gneeveguilla.
