We beat Richmond 2-1 in the park this morning to record our 8th league win in a row. The game was very scrappy from the start and neither side created any meaningful chances until Barry Lawlor forced an excellent save from the Richmond keeper in the 20th min following a header across the box from Tadhg Collins. Shortly after, Richmond took the lead from a well struck free kick. We were back level withing minutes though through a free kick of our own. Collins took the strike a it took a slight deflection before hitting the net. We were a bit more positive in the 2nd half and had a number of excellent opportunities to take the lead.
