Horse Racing: Andrias Guerin won his first race over hurdles in the GROLSCH HCP CHASE 5500m at Wincanton (GBR) (3:10pm) on Hobb’s Dream last Friday March 9th. He spent the whole race at the back of the field, made his move with four fences to go, jumped the last in second (photo right), and just pipped it by a head. “Fabulous ride Andrias Guerin” – the commentator [See the video of the race at the bottom of this post] [read an article in the SportingLife.com]
He followed that up the following day with his second win over hurdles in the 5:25 at Chepstow (UK), a 2m 4f race, winning by half a length on “Meet me at Dawn”, sent off at 8/1. He rides again today in the 4:30 at Plumpton, another hurdle … three in a row, what are the chances … [not to be as he was raised 9lbs since his race on friday and fell two from home … breaking Andrias’ collar bone 🙁 ]
