White Dove at St. Patrick’s Church This Morning

Dove at St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet on Tues. 07/08/2012 — Regarded as a true symbol of Peace a beautiful white dove appeared in the grounds of St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet before and after 10.00 a.m. Mass in the Church. The dove seemed to be almost tame and was happy to walk and fly in the area for a short period. (S.R.)

2012-08-07 The main arena at Green Glens this afternoon - all ready for the International Horse Show this week — The sun has started shining in Millstreet for this week’s International Horse Show

Greyhounds: Brendan O’Shea’s dog Crossfield Star won his first round race (heat 17) on his way to the Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby 550 (Aug 4th). Slow out of the traps and showed good acceleration, but slowed at bend three before pulling away at the end to win by 2.5 lengths in a time of 29.95. He’ll need to do better as the competition gets stiffer [see the race video below]
