Equestrian: The Millstreet International Horse Show took place last week, and it was one of the best shows in recent years, more horses and lots of spectators. All the results can be viewed on millstreethorseshow.ie, and all the official photos are here.

Fiona Meade’s 7A1s in Leaving Certificate Delights Her Family and School

Fiona who is daughter of Con and Mary (nee O’Connor), Cloghoulabeg, Millstreet achieved seven A1s in her Leaving Certificate.   We congratulate Fiona and all the Students of Millstreet Community School on the splendid results received and we wish them every success and good luck in the years ahead.  Fiona is going to study Pharmacy in UCC.  We thank John Magee (School Chaplain) for the picture and Marion Buckley (School Secretary) for emailing it to us.   (S.R.)

The River Finnow in the Current Wet Weather Conditions

The usually gentle-flowing River Finnow assumed a much wider and fast-flowing appearance following the significant amounts of recent rain falling. (S.R.)
