Dr. Mary Leader’s Book Launch in Boherbue on Saturday at 8.15 p.m.

The official launch by Eileen Linehan of IRD Duhallow of Dr. Mary Joyce Leader’s new Children’s Book “The Waiting Room Christmas Tree” (“Crann Nollag an Seomra Feithimh”) will take place in the Library of Boherbue Comprehensive School at 8.15 p.m. on this Saturday, 1st December 2012.   MC for the very special occasion is Frank O’Sullivan.   A night of music, dance, old Irish carols, mince pies and mulled wine!  (S.R.)

Death Notice: Helen Prout

The death has occurred of Helen Prout, (née O’Shea) of Croppy Boy House, Nash’s Boreen Fair Hill, Cork City, and late of Millstreet, Co.Cork. On November 29, 2012, unexpectedly at Cork University Hospital, HELEN (nee O’Shea) beloved wife of the late Christopher and loving mother of Liam, John, Martin, June, Lucy, Noelle, Con, Mary, Franky, Peter, Oliver, Vivian, and Helen. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers John, Con and Mick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, her carers especially Geraldine, kind neighbours and friends. Rest In Peace. Reposing at her home Friday from 5pm to 7.30pm followed by Removal to the Church of the Resurrection Farranree. Requiem Mass Saturday at 10.00am.
