Thief nabbed trying to sell stolen goods online

It was a done deal as far as gardaí were concerned when they collared a young man who was trying to sell equipment he’d stolen on the internet.
Gardaí believe the man had been responsible for a mini crime-wave in North West Cork and East Kerry in recent weeks, during which he stole thousands of euro worth of lawnmowers, power-washers, and tools.
The thefts took place over the past two weeks from sheds and garages in Rathmore, Co Kerry and from the Boherbue, Cullen, and Millstreet areas in Co Cork.
The 22-year-old was driving a borrowed 4×4 and was also robbing number plates from garages.

Personal Best gets Padraig into All-Ireland Shot Putt Finals

2013-02-24 Padraig Moynihan with his bronze medal from the Munster Indoors Shot PuttCongratulations to Padraig Moynihan on achieving bronze in the U15 Shot Put competition with a new personal best throw of 10.99m at the Munster Indoor Championships in Nenagh last Sunday (24th February). It qualifies Padraig for the All Ireland Indoor Championships in Athlone at the end of March.

He also took part in the long jump, got into the last eight, but finished 7th in a very tight competition, only 24cm outside second place.
