My great grand mother Catherine Dennehy was from Carriganima, and married James Kelleher of Toames East Macroom. She was born in 1852 and died 1925.
Would any of her relations be still living in the Carriganima area? I would love to make contact.

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to news report 1169 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this changeable Tuesday morning, the last one on May.
Another busy week has gone by, the weather was good and of the course the main task of the week was to prepare the Green Glens for the hosting of the International Sheep-Shearing Championships. St. John’s GAA Club excelled themselves.
And when the weekend came the place was afar cry from the way it looked the previous weekend for the 20th anniversary of EuroVision. It was all to do with sheep and their needs. Elevated stands made sure that the audience were able to see the experts at their work from their comfortable seating.
Trade Stands abounded , and there was every kind of bouncing castles , merries for the children. And Sheep Dog Trials. Tug o’ War. Dog Show
The crowd was not that big on Saturday but on Sunday they came in their thousands in brilliant sunshine, not that it mattered because there was ample room inside for it all.
Look up the website and get the feel of it with the lovely pictures taken by Sean Radley and others. The Community singers gave a recital and were very well received, The Show was officially opened by Weather Lady herself Nuala Carey aided by Cork Footballer Noel Lynch , Canon John FitzGerald also attended.
