Meeting the Renowned Pat O’Connell at Cork’s English Market Today

While in Cork today I paid a brief visit to the famous English Market in the city where I got to meet the renowned Pat O'Connell whose superbly cheerful photograph with Queen Elizabeth on her Irish visit became the truly iconic image of that historic trip. The world famous image was recorded by the very marvellous Killarney Photographer, Valerie O'Sullivan. Many thanks to the very friendly Pat for permitting us to feature him on our website. A true gentleman and an excellent Ambassador for Cork...and Ireland! ( S.R.)

Joanne in Splendid Radio Interview This Morning
