On Saturday night 7.30, after mass we will host
“Choons for Childrens Charities at Christmas”
‘Strings’ will open proceedings!
Then there will be a cup of tea.
After this, the ‘challenge’ is open to everyone … So please bring an instrument or your singing voice on the night!
There will be different ‘stations’ in the hall where you can go play a tune or sing a verse of a song and donate to childrens charities…
All donations/ monies collected on the night will be sent to childrens charities before Christmas… Members of ‘Strings’ , as the hosts , have chosen the childrens charities we will be donating to.
You can check this out on Facebook – ‘Choons for Childrens Charities at Christmas‘.
If you can’t make it on the night you can post your ‘challenge’ on the FB page. & text your donation when the text numbers become available.
Many thanks to Emer Twomey for this important reminder. We truly encourage people to attend this magnificent “Strings” brief performance of around 25 minutes. (S.R.)

also from Geraldine: Next Saturday night ‘STRINGS’ Fiddle Group Will host a challenge “Choons for Children’s Charities at Christmas” in the GAA hall at half 7. The group will give the same performance as they gave in Scartaglin two weeks ago. All are welcome to come and see them. Admission is free but we are hoping to raise some money for a number of children’s charities on the night. There will be donation buckets for anyone who would like to contribute. There will be tea, coffee, biscuits, maybe a bun or two and great music. People are invited to bring along their instruments and join in.
