Regional Report No. 1281 – Tuesday 1st September 2015

Eily Buckley (for whom I’m presently deputising) is making great progress following her recent knee procedure.

Millstreet International Horse Trials last weekend – were totally magical at the exquisite Drishane Estate and at Green Glens.   Some really important personages from the Equestrian World were present and expressed their heartfelt enthusiasm at the splendour of the overall setting especially the magic of the Drishane Cross Country Course.    And also blessed with ideal weather conditions on Sunday, 30th August the annual September Horse Fair in Millstreet Town brought a large number of colourful standings while there appeared to be a decrease in the number of horses.

Death Notice: Kate Conlon, North Horsemount

CONLON (Kilcorney): On September 1, 2015, peacefully, in the excellent care of the Director of Nursing, nurses and staff at Millstreet Community Hospital, KATHLEEN (KATE, nee Kelleher), beloved wife of Connie, North Horsemount, dear mother of Nora (Breen) and Margaret (McCarthy) and sister of Margaret (Carroll). Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughters, sister, grandchildren, sons-in-law Michael and John, sister-in-law Joan, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer on this Wednesday evening from 6pm, followed by removal at 7.30pm to St. Nicholas’ Church, Kilcorney. Requiem Mass on tomorrow, Thursday, at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace

Derrinagree N.S. Used Clothing Collection & Coffee Morning on 19th Sept.

Derrinagree Parents Association are holding a Used Clothing Collection and Coffee Morning Saturday 19th September from 11 am to 1pm in Derrinagree school. All unwanted clothes, shoes, handbags, belts, toys and mobile phones are accepted.
