The interview we recorded in 2011 features on LTV2 Programme 211. Hugely popular Film Star, the Legendary Maureen O’Hara holds a framed picture of Turbrid Holy Well with which she was presented by Seán Radley, Ita & William Fitzgerald following a fascinating brief interview with LTV2 at Glengarriff Golf Club on Sunday night, 26th June 2011. We referred very especially to Maureen’s starring role in “The Quiet Man” with John Wayne in 1951. We extend our sincere sympathy to the Family of the late great Maureen O’Hara who has gone to her Eternal Reward at the age of 95. She died peacefully in the presence of her Family in America and it’s reported that the music of “The Quiet Man” played gently in the background. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal. Here we recall our meeting with the wonderfully friendly Maureen in 2011.
