By The Mountain Of Clara Today

The cattle in the farmyard sheds bellowing for silage or hay
It is cold and wet by the Mountain of Clara today
The weather temperature a chilly minus three degrees
And the cold wind is soughing in bare deciduous trees

In the old rushy fields west of Millstreet Town
Every waterway bank high in flood waters of brown
Where grass growth is dormant not any wildflowers
And nothing does grow in cold January showers

Death Notice: Willie John Murphy, Kilbrin & Flintfield

MURPHY (Kilbrin and Millstreet): On January 15, 2016, at CUH, peacefully, WILLIAM J. (WILLIE), Garrison and late of Flintfield, husband of the late Bridie. Deeply mourned by his loving brothers Paddy and Jackie, sister-in-law Heather, nephews, Patrick Vaughan, the Ahern and McCarthy families, relatives, kind neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at O’Reilly’s Funeral Home, Newmarket. Rosary on this Saturday evening at 9pm. Removal on tomorrow, Sunday, at 8pm to Church of St. John the Baptist, Kilbrin. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kanturk.
