Eily’s update – 5th April

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome.

The Fools Day prank on our website certainly wiped the fog from many eyes at the prospect of having our very own skyscraper in  the heart of Millstreet Town. Well done Michael, for making us all sit up and indeed for the wonderful pictures of the old CloghoulaSchool. Please keep them coming.

From  March 24th to April 3rd there were equestrian competitions going on almost every day at the Green Glens complex. Unfortunately the weather was not too kind, and the very peak of the events, which was the eventing at Drishane, had to be cancelled because of the fear of damaging the ground. But that aside the weather did nothing to curb the 4000 entries that took part.

In the month of July we will have the World Team Mounted Games Championships to look forward to. They will be held from July 12th to 16th and we hope for better weather by then.

Our new Millstreet Magazine, entitled Duhallow Today has hit the shops and the good news is that it is free. It covers a large part of Co. Cork and is full of all kinds of interesting snippets of news and information plus advertisements to cover every one of your needs.  It is due out every month and is a must for every household. So pick yours up today in any of the shops and stores in the catchment area.
