“Radio Treasures” tonight from 9.30pm to 11.00pm…All most welcome….We look forward to future interviews including “Winnie” of “Mrs. Browne’s Boys” and Mary Fagan of Radio Kerry’s “Horizons”.  Our 10pm Interview tonight is with Patrick O’Shea & Friends (pictured below) of the church of the living God.   We talk about the hugely impressive Bernard Moynihan Commemoration event which recently took place in Rathcoole.  We relate about the recent Auto Testing Event at K&L Complex (pictured below also) and we chat about last Sunday’s Open Air Dancing at Mushera (pictured). Meeting at the E Centre in The Square, Millstreet the very welcoming Church of God group shared wonderfully harmonic hymns and thoughts with all. The inspiring group will leave Millstreet later tonight and continue sharing the Good News nationwide for the next seven weeks. Our 10pm interview on "Radio Treasures" next Tuesday features a special interview with Patrick O'Shea (spokesperson) and others while we also get to hear two excellent songs from the talented group. Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a Chairde and welcome to my weekly Report from Millstreet .

Please give your best attention to the details of the World Class event that will be held at the Green Glens Arena next week. From July 12 to 16th inclusive. It is the World Team Mounted Games Championships with up to twenty countries from all over the world will be taking part.

It’s new to the Green Glens and it is exciting. That is why it is so important that we all play our part in making it a memorable event for all the right reasons. Participating countries include Ireland ,Northern Ireland, France, Belgium, South Africa, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Scotland, England, Wales, Italy, New Zealand .

All those taking part will be installed at the Green Glens on Monday night July11th..Then  on Tuesday evening a Grand Parade will be held through the town. Child-minder wanted for after School

hands with paintA child-minder is required from September, five days a week to care for one little boy in his own home (preferably) .

This will involve picking up from school at two o’clock and caring for him until 6.00pm. It may also include taking him to extra- curricular activities.

Visiting Millstreet from Florida

Florida residents, Dave and Terry Anne visited Millstreet in April on historical trip and with the intention on being in Dublin for the Easter Rising Commemorations. Dave is a cousin of Hollywood actor Brian Dennehy, and they share the same links to Millstreet – the home of their grandfather. They stayed in the Wallis Arms overnight, met with Seán Radley, visited the Bridge Bar, and got in a few more local spots. Now they have gone and made a photo journal book of the trip, called “A Return for History”, which gives an insight no how others see us Irish. The book is viewable online, with the overview of the book here, and the book preview is here (Millstreet is at day 8 april 22nd).

In 2014 they visited Millstreet for the first time, and again produced a  photo book of their trip called “Our Pilgrimage to Eire”. Again the book is online with the overview here, and the preview here (Millstreet is at day 17 – page 61).
