Death Notice: Rita Hickey, West End, Millstreet

Rita HickeyThe death has occurred of Rita HICKEY (née Kelly) 4 West End, Millstreet, Co. Cork.

Hickey (née Kelly) Rita, 4 West End, Millstreet, Co. Cork, on August 11th 2016, peacefully in the tender loving care of Strawhall Nursing Home, Fermoy. Beloved wife of the late Garrett and mother of the late Colette and Gearóid. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Donagh and Michael, daughters Breeda, Marian and Clare, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Tarrant’s Funeral Home Friday 12th from 6pm followed by removal at 8pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Requiem Mass Saturday at 12 noon, funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Aidan Burke Memorial Trophy – Pitch & Putt Presentation

Pitch and Putt Club
A great evening was enjoyed by all at the presentation of the Aidan Burke Memorial Trophy by Aidan’s parents Bina and Liam and his sister Gillian at the Millstreet Pitch and Putt Clubhouse on Saturday 6th August.
The Burke family presented the beautiful trophy to the winning captain Fia Hurley who was ably assisted by her team mates Shane Browne,James Hickey, Denis Breen, Denis Kiely and Aoife Casey.
In second place was Team B consisting of Oran Kiely (captain), Micheal Hurley, Chris Twomey, Matt Dennehy, Jamie Kelleher, and Evan O’Mahony.
In third place was Team E consisting of Nicholas Buckley (captain), Pat Breen, Shane Cremin, Michael Twomey,Darren O’Sullivan and Mairead Reen.

Magnificent Response to Our Museum & Website Collection 2016
