“Horizons” Radio Kerry Show from Millstreet

Mary Fagan of the “Horizons” Radio Programme on Radio Kerry visited Millstreet on June 9th last and was given a short tour of Millstreet by Seán Radley, which included the Carnegie Hall, the Millstreet Museum, and St.Patrick’s Church. She also interviewed Fr. Paddy Byrne (pictured right), and James O’Sullivan (on Tubrid). The programme also featured music by Donal Linehan, and a song from Annmarie O’Riordan. It was broadcast on Radio Kerry, Sunday morning July 31st, but the podcast only appeared today. You can listen to it below:

O’Leary Letter from Adrivale – December 1918 (2nd of 3)
At the end of 1918, World War I was just over to the relief of all. Delivery of letters over and back across the atlantic returned to normality, and Patrick O’Leary of Adrivale wrote letters to his sister and brother in America, giving them the news of Ireland and his reaction to hearing that his nephew Patsy from Ohio was among the troops in France. Below is the second of three letters sent to us by Patsy’s grandson Patrick O’Leary, which was written to his sister Sister Mary Francis in the US.
As it happens Patrick arrived in Ireland today for the O’Leary Clan Gathering in Ballyvourney this week.

Millstreet GAA Predictor Latest
The Millstream GAA Sports Predictor Competition 2016 is in it’s final stages, and after the All Ireland Hurling Final, only 4 of 20 competitions are to be completed. First prize is €500 and it’s neck and neck at the top, with any one of a number of competitors able to overtake the leaders, so it will be exciting until the finish.
