eily-report-small-imageDia is mhuire diobh go leir a Cairde and welcome to my weekly Report .

This is National Dairy Show Week in Millstreet, The Great one day event will be held at the mighty Green Glens Arena on Saturday October 22, starting as early as 9am.  It’s a day out for all the Family. Bouncing castles and facepainting and games for the children. Trade stands with every kind of farm and home equipment on show, cookery section and most important of all the cream of the worlds livestock. All in doors in the comfort of the Green Glens arena. The resturaunt will be up and running offering the best of Irish beef on the menu. Free car parking on the adjacent grounds outside. We wish the organisers every success with this giant venture on their annual calendar.

And talking of calendars. Our Community Council are in the process of developing their calendar for 2018. The proceeds always goes to good local causes.

The Pony Owners Show will be held at the Green Glens on October 28,29.30. It’s a family show which is run every year for charity, very often for local causes.

At the Community Council Meeting which was held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Tuesday night it was decided that  the history of many  our local features will be explored and documented. No item is too big or too small to be included.

The outcome should be very interesting to us all, but especially to anyone visiting the town and it’s environs. Anybody interested in helping with  the venture or know of a feature that should be included please contact Chairman Noel Buckley or any Council Member.
